Clay Barring

What is Clay Bar?
Clay Bar is an engineered resin mixture that Star Valet use to remove contaminants and pollutants from the surface of your car's paint, glass, fiberglass, and metal.
Detailing clay can be natural or synthetic. However, synthetic clay bar is most common these days.
What does clay barring do?
Claying is primarily used to remove bonded contaminants from the paintwork of your car but can also be used on glass, metal, and other parts of your car depending on the grade of the clay being used.
You should Clay your car if you are looking to achieve the best possible results.

Machine Polish

What's involved?
Scratches on your car diminish the value of your vehicle and make it look unsightly. Regular machine polishing acts as a buffer and will effectively remove all the surface scratches, leaving your car looking smoother than before and preserving the life of your paint job.
Effective machine polishing can mostly remove numerous paint defects including:

- Oxidation
While machine polishing can't completely eradicate deep scratches and stone chips that have worked through into the base and primer, it can certainly reduce their appearance by rounding off hard edges to soften the way the light is reflected back to your eye.

Compound Buffing

When should I compound?
Minor paint damage like scratches or swirl marks can be temporarily remedied by our ‘Machine Polish’ service. However, compounding a car is to be used when a more permanent solution may be required, especially with scratches that go deep into the paint layers.
Compounding a Car – What Is It?
Compounding a car is when you use a compounding agent to remove scratches by leveling the uneven paint surface. Compounding is a broader term for removing paint defects and applying wax and sealant for protection.
The key difference to standard polishing is that the compounding or leveling agent applied acts like liquid sandpaper to remove a larger amount of clear coat layer and even out the surface.

Ceramic Coating

What's involved?
A ceramic coating will protect your vehicle from UV rays and the damage that comes from the environment. It will reveal a water repelling and super high gloss sleek surface.
This whole process takes around 6 hours as the vehicle needs to be prepped, by washing the vehicle to remove any dirt, clay needs to be added to the vehicle and the car inspected for any blemishes and if any to be fixed before the ceramic coating can be applied.
After inspection the ceramic coating is applied slowly to the vehicle to ensure full coverage using the best machines, this stage takes about 2 hours as care needs to be taken to ensure all areas are treated.
After all areas have been treated an approved Star Valet spray will be added to seal the ceramic coating and protect your car/vehicle for many years to come.
